The Wilson Mountain Reservation

For an amazing outdoor adventure, be sure to visit The Wilson Mountain Reservation. This state owned area is a protected park, with over 200 acres of natural, lush surroundings you’re sure to love. The Emerald Necklace

The Emerald Necklace is a 1000 acre chain of parks that snake through the Boston area and its nearby suburbs. The park’s many acres are linked by waterways and walkways, providing lots of space for fishing, kayaking, hiking, biking, and so much more!

Cutler Park Reservation

In the 739 acres that make up this reservation, you’ll find a freshwater marsh that offers lots of room for fishing, kayaking, or just lounging by the water. There is also plenty of untouched flora and fauna for those who want to hike or take a walk through the untouched grounds, including 35 trails set aside for pedestrians and bikers.

The Charles River Peninsula

Surrounded by the scenic Charles River, this peninsula offers lots of space for picnicking, walking, jogging, or lounging by the water. There is also a 20-acre farm field offering lots of visual appeal for those who appreciate the great outdoors!

The Gardens at Elm Bank

For those who prefer beautiful flowers in a more planned environment and setting, check out the Gardens at Elm Bank in Needham. Home to the Massachusetts Horticulture Society, this structure is an excellent spot for photos and planned events, while also offering shows and guided tours throughout the year. Be sure to stop by and see their Christmas display inside the estate, a must-see for everyone!

Echo Bridge

Spanning the Charles River between Needham and Newton, Echo Bridge was constructed in the 1870s and offers visitors a glimpse of historic architecture and charm. The bridge’s design is largely untouched to this day and it offers a great backdrop for photos and lots of rustic appeal for anyone.
